Hi all - great to see another fabulous turnout tonight!
Here is a quick outline for those who were unable to attend...
First we enjoyed a cuppa, chat and stroll around the Geelong West Community Garden which gave us an opportunity to speak to a few people about their experiences.
Then we headed back to the covered outdoor seating area where we discussed, recorded and shared some ideas for our own vision statement. This was a very enjoyable and beneficial exercise and it was fantastic to feel so closely aligned! Thanks Rebecca for offering to 'mesh' all our ideas!
We discussed our next steps (all keen to get started!) which we agreed was to get as much info from other community gardens as we can so we avoid any possible obstacles, get fabulous ideas and begin visualising our space.
Thankyou also goes to Peter who offered to draw up a site plan so we can begin to play around with plot sizes, etc.
Our next meeting, on Wed 15th Dec, will be at Danawa Community Garden in Torquay (a fully communal garden - no individual plots) for more ideas and fun! We will meet at Manifold Heights Primary School to organise car pooling and leave at 7pm. All welcome!
Yours in fun and food,
Liz
